I haven’t tried paragliding yet. But watching a group prepare to take off on a morning like this, surrounded by the snow-dusted peaks of the German Alps, makes me wonder what the world must look like from up there. A sense of serenity, with nothing but silence and sky all around.
The volcano really treated us with this view – often hidden by clouds, yet here it stands in all its glory. Just as the golden hour kicks in. The snowy peak is just the cherry on top.
Madeira is a small island on the Atlantic, north of the Canary Islands. Also referred to as "Hawaii of Europe". And while that may be an overstatement, I think it definitely bears at least some resemblance.
This is what I'd call a happy accident. About a block away from Grand Central, on a gloomy January morning, I was presented with this scene. I completely missed the focus, but such is life. We live and we learn. Still, it ended up being one of my favorite shots from the trip.
Life doesn't always line up perfectly. But every now and then, the universe gives us a moment that feels just right — and that’s something to look forward to.
